FASHION: Toronto's First Annual Fashion's Night Out
8th September 2012Thursday night marked one of the biggest shopping nights in Toronto history. That’s right, our city hosted its very first Fashion’s Night Out. The city erupted as fashion lovers took to the streets and stores to celebrate our cities love of style with friends and family.

While there were parties galore for the shopping masses, FNO brought more than just shopping and bite sized cupcakes to the malls and streets, at Yorkdale mall those who attended were treated to a fashion show featuring all the brands that can be found in the mall from Harry Rosen to Jean Machine. Cityline’s own Tracy Moore and Lynn Spence gave fashion advice and details on the upcoming trends for Fall and Winter.

Down on the bustling Queen St. West, The Burroughes Building (639 Queen St. W.) played h
ost to Rac Boutique’s The Bazaar, an all-in-one shopping experience under one roof. Some of Toronto’s most notable local retailers and designers including Got Style The Menswear Store, The Drake General Store and Travis Taddeo to name a few. While FNO may only be one night Rac Boutique is keeping The Bazaar open until Saturday at 7pm for those who couldn’t make it out Thursday night.

With Toronto’s first official Fashion’s Night Out under its belt, we continue to solidify our place as a fashion destination. For those of us who had a taste of it on Thursday night, we are already anticipating the next one, for those that couldn’t make it out…not to worry, with the crowds that filled the Bloor street party in front of Holts and the 6th floor at the Bazaar, I’m thinking this won’t be our last FNO. It can only get bigger and better from here now that our city has tested the waters and saw that the fashion lovers dive in head first.
