CONTEST: Breast Cancer Awareness Make Over with Tints of Nature and Evoke Salon
11th October 2012Everywhere we turn, we’re seeing the pink ribbon sauntering about. October is underway and it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s that time of the year to think pink, shop pink and donate towards pink.
Just stop for a second and think about those you know who are affected by this disease. I guarantee it’s less than six degrees of separation. In 2012, 88% of women diagnosed with breast cancer will be alive five years after their diagnosis. This is up 10% from 1987. We’re trying to spread the word that preventative health and early detection is key.
That’s why we’re working together with Evoke Salon and Tints of Nature to celebrate with a Survivor Make-Over Contest. They may not need a make over, but who doesn’t want one? And let’s be realistic, after all they’ve been through, they deserve one.
You can enter yourself, or nominate a breast cancer survivor. The winner will be made-over at Evoke Salon in Toronto, where we’ll follow her through the make-over process. They will receive a fresh new ‘do and change of colour, courtesy of Tints of Nature, a range of permanent hair colours that are formulated with specially selected natural and certified organic ingredients and offer a gentler alternative to harsh hair dyes, and did we mention it’s free from ammonia, resorcinol and parabens? The winner will also receive a $200 gift certificate to use after the treatment for a follow-up appointment or to grab a few hair care essentials from Evoke Salon.
