LIFESTYLE: Flurries X Because I’m A Girl
9th October 2012Canadians are known for their humour, their kindness towards their fellow man as well as their giving nature and Flurries Canada is just one Canadian company that is going out of their way to help giveback.
Flurries has teamed up with Plan Internationals “Because I’m A Girl“, for those that are unaware with this initiative, Because I’m A Girl has set out to help empower women and young girls by offering education,food and safety to women and girls all over the developing world. This year Oct 11th has been designated “Day of The Girl Child” and Canadian footwear company Flurries is donating $2 from every in-store and online sale towards Plan Canada’s Because I’m A Girl, they are also accepting donations in all store locations which can be found here as well as an online donation form located here.
We’ve been lucky to be born where we are and with all the privlages and advantages it has brought with it, it’s difficult sometimes to think of what is going on in other parts of the world but it’s not something we should blind ourselves too, so this Oct 11th not only treat yourself to a stylish pair of new boots but help make a change in the life of young women and girls everywhere so that one day they can also make a change.
