With every Fall Winter comes a must have jacket, or in this case about a dozen must have jackets. On day two of Toronto Fashion Week SOSKEN hit the runway with a collection of stunning coats with even the simplest of details that changed the look completely.
The collection was filled with a mix of wearable styles that are perfect for warmer fall days and cooler winter nights. Simple details can sometimes make the difference between a nice coat and a beautiful and one that can simply be dressed up or down depending on how you style it. Each piece made it’s way down the runway capturing the attention of every stylist, blogger and fashion lover with the close attention to detail, pattern and colour combination that pieced together the entire show.
#SEStyle Tip: To get more out of your everyday jacket or parka try playing with accessories by adding a belt over top to add a little structure or drop your favourite scarf over your shoulder for a great evening look

Elisa Dahan and Eran Elfassy, creative directors of the coveted brand Mackage, are the only team in the world that could possibly make me look forward to winter. The thought of repeating the horrifying freeze Toronto just went through is completely unbearable with one strict exception. I was introduced that one-off miracle at World Mastercard Fashion Week, day 3. The only way to face Jack Frost again is draped in Mackage’s Fall/Winter 2015 line. Whip him away with Mackage’s long leather tassels, melt him with their deep red hues, and cast him out in from behind their dramatic, opulent furs.
Mackage for Fall/Winter 2015 is preparing wearers for stylish, outdoor winter fun (albeit more for those who prefer the chalet to the slopes). Quilted snow pants with draped suspenders for him, and asymmetrical leather skirts under fur lined bombers for her. Paired with the classically gorgeous leather accessories, whether backpacks or purses are your style, there’s no way you can go wrong in Mackage this winter.

As Canadians, we have no choice but to get used to the change in weather and as the seasons start to change so does our wardrobe, but our footwear doesn’t always have to. Your shoes are a great way to transition your looks from season to season.
Every woman loves a good boot and no matter what season we are in having a great transitional bootie will make all the difference when transitioning from snow to slush and rain to mud. Search out boots that are extremely weather friendly, yes we get it, UGGS may feel comfortably but the convenience and comfort gets compromised quite quickly once the rain and snow hits.
For an edgier look try pairing your everyday trends with a simple and classic boot that’s always in style. This edgy style is a perfect way to make a statement during any season and looks great as you begin to transition your wardrobe from winter to spring.

Grey days are approaching, but that doesn’t mean our moods have to match! In these final days of Fall I like to work some small reminder of sunny days gone by into my outfits. It helps to lighten up the sea of dark clothes and heavy coats that have already made their first appearances, and are sure to fill the months to come. Wearing bright colours these days somehow lightens my mood too. It feels great to be clutching a little piece of brighter days while I’m kicking through the fallen leaves.
Today I decided to go with a neutral jacket that’s nice and light for layering. The scarf pictured is one of my favourites. The print is beautiful and full of deep colours that match almost everything that I’ve ever paired it with. I also love wearing footwear in the fall with a chunky heels that have tread on the bottom. The Trusa boots are nice and light with perfect heels for slippery weather. They’re reminiscent of the iconic Timberland work boot, but with a feminine flair that makes them a good day-to-night transition shoe. The sunny leather clutch was my grandmother’s when she was young – the leather has aged beautifully and the hue is still as radiant as ever.
The final days of autumn don’t have to be a drag! Show us your favourite Fall wardrobe pieces.

Christie Pits park is the heart of the neighbourhood that I live in. Watching the colours of the canopy shift from green to the many hues indicative of Fall, I figured the crowds I’ve grown used to seeing in the park would start to thin out with the leaves falling. Contrarily, the park is just as busy as it was in the July heat. People are still out maximizing their time outdoors despite the fact that the days are getting shorter.
Toronto brand Bad Etiquette and their “Chief Rocka” Lionel Wong are on board with the spirit in the park. “In my late 20s, I had a serious battle with cancer and had to go through intense chemo and radiation therapy,” said Wong. “Having come our of this victorious, I found a new outlook on life, a new found appreciation, and I never hesitate to seize the day.”
So, in that spirit I rocked the HOODLM tee in black on black for a day out in Christie Pits. Layered with a warm scarf and a light jacket we kicked through leaves and enjoyed the outdoors on a beautiful Toronto day. Bad Etiquette has a bunch of Fall tees with funky phrases and minimal design, perfect for a hip layered outfit. Support your local hustler and check out Bad Etiquette’s fall styles!
