Elisa Dahan and Eran Elfassy, creative directors of the coveted brand Mackage, are the only team in the world that could possibly make me look forward to winter. The thought of repeating the horrifying freeze Toronto just went through is completely unbearable with one strict exception. I was introduced that one-off miracle at World Mastercard Fashion Week, day 3. The only way to face Jack Frost again is draped in Mackage’s Fall/Winter 2015 line. Whip him away with Mackage’s long leather tassels, melt him with their deep red hues, and cast him out in from behind their dramatic, opulent furs.
Mackage for Fall/Winter 2015 is preparing wearers for stylish, outdoor winter fun (albeit more for those who prefer the chalet to the slopes). Quilted snow pants with draped suspenders for him, and asymmetrical leather skirts under fur lined bombers for her. Paired with the classically gorgeous leather accessories, whether backpacks or purses are your style, there’s no way you can go wrong in Mackage this winter.

The end of Fashion Week always seems to be bitter sweet for me, whether it’s missing the people, the hustle or simply just having my days filled with everything fashion and beauty, there has yet to be a season that I don’t miss. Looking back on last week we saw many shows, hair styles, nail designs and makeup looks that will have us begging for fall/winter 2015, but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves just yet, we still have spring/summer to enjoy.
Here’s a look back on what we loved most during World MasterCard Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2015, from the runway to backstage we are excited to share with you exactly what we were chatting about last week.
REDKEN Canada showed us many different hair looks throughout the week, but there was one common trend that we saw popping up in many of the shows, braids. This Fall/Winter 2015 is all about the braids and who doesn’t love a good braid, they are easy to do and always look great both on and off the runway. I got a chance to have one of REDKENS elite hair stylists recreate the braid look from David Dixon’s runway show, it looked great and is a look that’s it easy to do at home.
MAYBELLINE Canada always surprises us every season with new make up trends and products that are absolute must try’s. This season it was all about that perfect highlight using Face Studio Master Prime, the soft pink created a natural and flawless glow that made each model simply shimmer with beauty. The Mikhael Kale beauty look was all the rave with the stunning pop of colour in the inner corners of the eye using the Colour Sensational Vivids Lip Colour, making it a great way to get even more use out of your everyday favourite products.
Be sure to let us know your faviorite looks, trends and styles from the Fall/Winter 2015 World MasterCard Fashion Week shows using #StyleEmpire #StyleEmpireXWMCFW @StyleEmpireMag @Stylempire.

As day five of World MasterCard Fashion Week comes to a close we are absolutely amazed and breath taken by the outstanding runway show by Mikael D. The collection was Asian inspired which was brought out through the hair stylings of REDKEN Canada’s lead stylist, Jorge Joao and geisha red lip by MAYBELLINE Canada’s lead artist, Grace Lee.
The collection incorporated red, black, gold and white as each piece walked the red runway showing off a collection of different designs from long gowns to pant suits, and patterns to embroidery. Mikael D is always a pleasure to have as the final show of fashion week a he always finds a way to leave us breathless and this collection did just that with the structure and close attention to detail in every look. The lace detailing held together by a delicate and silky mesh was so fine that it look as though each model had been painted with lace.
The show could not have ended more flawlessly when a stunning white ball gown made its way onto the runway capturing the attention of everyone in the room. The dress was filled with delicate white flowers that fluttered as it went by making it the piece of the week and leaving fashion lovers absolutely speechless.
With the delicate detailing and perfect fit in each piece it’s no wonder Mikale D is known as Canadian Couture, each piece is a perfect fit and each collection brings a certain flair of elegance to the runway season after season.

There’s no better combination than leather and fur, now add some wool and it’s simply stunning. Rudsak brought an edgy look to the runway with a collection inspired by the worlds most beautiful cities. The collection was exactly what any fashion lover wants to wear while strutting their way down the streets of their favourite cities.
Rudsak is always a show we look most forward to, because let’s face it, as Canadians we need to keep warm and this is the perfect way to do so. The detailing in each piece was exactly what takes your average winter coat up a level making you feel better about having to hid your outfit. Rudsak always brings leather detailing into their pieces in a way that has you following each piece as it goes on by. From shoulder patches to elbow patches and full sleeves to half sleeves, the leather detailing in each piece keeps Rudsak lovers coming back season after season.
As Canadians we simply can’t go a winter without keeping warm with fur weather it is a full coat or fur detailing, it’s always the best way to stay warm and cozy day after day. Rudsak’s fur detailing is always eye-catching with their iconic hoods and stunning handbags it was a great way to end day four of World MasterCard Fashion Week.

All wrapped up and ready to go, day four of World MasterCard Fashion Week brought a mix of warmth and luxury to the runway and it has never looked so good. Farley Chatto’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection created a total “wow” factor on the runway through it’s vintage feel and luxurious pieces.
The movement on the runway was absolutely indescribable, each piece looked as though they floated their way down the runway, capturing the attention of everyone watching from start to finish.
The collection had a wide range of pieces, from bomber to full length jackets and hats to stoles, each piece was absolutely timeless. The runway show brought a vintage feel that included a piece for everyone, allowing you to focus more on what you want rather then what you’ve inherited.
