Elisa Dahan and Eran Elfassy, creative directors of the coveted brand Mackage, are the only team in the world that could possibly make me look forward to winter. The thought of repeating the horrifying freeze Toronto just went through is completely unbearable with one strict exception. I was introduced that one-off miracle at World Mastercard Fashion Week, day 3. The only way to face Jack Frost again is draped in Mackage’s Fall/Winter 2015 line. Whip him away with Mackage’s long leather tassels, melt him with their deep red hues, and cast him out in from behind their dramatic, opulent furs.
Mackage for Fall/Winter 2015 is preparing wearers for stylish, outdoor winter fun (albeit more for those who prefer the chalet to the slopes). Quilted snow pants with draped suspenders for him, and asymmetrical leather skirts under fur lined bombers for her. Paired with the classically gorgeous leather accessories, whether backpacks or purses are your style, there’s no way you can go wrong in Mackage this winter.

An ESSIE nail can change a lot in a show, the finish, the design and the colour really do make a difference between shows. What I love most about the outstanding designs by Rita Remark is that they not only reflect the collection, they bring out the designers vision in a way that speaks to beauty lovers.
Day 3 of World MasterCard Fashion Week brought us two different ESSIE creations for one big fashion day! The shows, the designs and the nails created a mix between texture and pattern. Mackage was all about creating that matte finish using matte about you over berry naughty creating a beautifully finished negative space nail that complemented the collections 70’s inspiration.
Hayley Elsaesser always brings fun and excitement to the runway through pieces that pop with colour and outrageous pattern. This season Rita created a nail that looked as though it jumped off each piece. With the collections 70’s glam inspiration, the patterns, colour and combinations were a great choice to complement this fun loving collection. Using meet me at sunset, naughty nautical, mod square and butler please these eye-catching nail designs will definitely become a popular nail trend during any season.

Sometimes it’s hard to imagine wearing lighter clothes when the weather is as frigid and irritating as it has been these last few days. It’s like just when we thought the cold spell had come and gone, it starts all over again, only this time, it’s much worst. I have always been one to plan ahead, I love knowing I have something to look forward to, whether it be a vacation, a show or simply warmer days, having a plan is a great way to stay motivated and excited. Despite not having any warm vacations planned in the next few months it’s still important to plan ahead, which is why I am thrilled to begin my search for the perfect spring jacket that I can start transitioning into now.
Try A Trench
If you don’t currently own a trench coat now is the time to buy one. Rain or shine this classic style is an absolute staple piece for any fashion lover. Perfect for both day and evening, a trench coat will create a sophisticated and fashionable look during any warmer climate season.

You simply can’t go wrong with leather, no matter the weather this timeless look pairs perfectly with any style. Whether your dressing casual or formal adding leather creates an edgy and classic look that you can’t help but fall in love with.

Warm In Wool
Soft, cozy and warm, wearing wool may seem seasonal to some, but to others it is seen as a luxurious and fashion forward way to dress up any trend, and stay warm throughout the evenings. As the months get warmer, try adding a lighter wool blazer to your wardrobe to create a stunning look that will keep you looking fabulous.

And on the third day, World MasterCard Fashion Week gave us Mackage. Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan started the line of high-end outerwear over a decade ago in 1999, and have since enjoyed continued success, international distribution, and the expansion of their work into handbags, clothing and other leather goods. The duo’s vision for Spring/Summer 2015 is layered textures, fine mesh patterns, flirty tassels and pops of electric colour.
My favourite pieces of the line are the leather cage skirts and tops, plus the splashes of brilliant colour in some of the handbags and leather trousers. I can imagine the magenta tassle skirt and cobalt blue handbags against the grey skies that are an inevitable part of April showers. The colours will be a lovely accent during the Spring/Summer season; your own statement hue next to all of mother nature’s!

Perfection, thy name is Mackage. What is there to even say? Everything about this show was immaculate. From the moment we entered to a runway covered in pretty fall leaves, each leaf cut out and scattered across the floor, we were hooked. Fast forward through the impeccably layered quilted pieces, urban-chic headphones, and fur lined down jackets (well, no, don’t fast forward through those) – and you arrive at the halftime show. Yes, the halftime show. In the fashion world, apparently that means gorgeous men in baggy, leather one-piece suits sweeping the remnants of autumn off the stage. Lights dim, and then the second act: snow flakes dance on the big screen as the winter edition of Mackage’s 2014 line is debuted. And I want. Every. Piece.
P Military cuts and camouflage print for his and hers lines are in store for Mackage lovers this Fall/Winter. Also expect a lovely, subtle plaid of blues, purples, and greens. Some daring men’s pieces are also in the mix: fur trimmed pants and hot pink jackets that look effortlessly stylish. Keeping with the trends, baseball caps had a heavy presence as well. But in the world of Mackage, they’re suede, of course.
