Giving back is always a great way to show your love and appreciation to the world we live in. With so much happening in the world around us it’s hard to keep track of everyone in need of protection. TOMS always finds a way to bring awareness to so many different partnerships with their the One for One programs.
This past fall TOMS announced their partnership with the National Geographic Big Cats Collection, as a cat lover the choice to support this great program came easy as I began to read some of the recent statistics of Big Cats in the wild that are disappearing in the world around us. The National Geographic’s Big Cats Initiative has worked to reverse the decline through on-the-ground conversation and educational projects in Africa, Asia, North and South America.

The TOMS and National Geographic Big Cats Collection features a special edition line of footwear, sunglasses and backpacks for men, women and children ranging from $38 to $168 CAD. The collection features design elements representing big cats as well as iconic photography from the National Geographic’s image library. The TOMS One for One Animal Initiative program will drive awareness and funding for global animal protection for Big Cats and with our support and awareness we can come together to help minimize the dangers that Big Cats are facing in the wild.

Summer is all about heat and why not celebrate it with a festival day? We are all about the festivals from the music to the style. If you’re trying to figure out what to wear, sometimes it’s best to keep it simple and smart.
The weather is heating up and there is nothing worse than being outdoors and extremely hot! Sometimes when you hear the word “simple” you may think dull and boring – but we are not about that. You can still have fun with your look without breaking the bank or dying of heat stroke. Wearing a loosely fitted dress is an easy way to look great and feel cool, lighter colours also help the cause. For your feet, you definitely want to try and avoid white shoes (grass stains and all), instead go for a darker tone, maybe even a pair of huaraches…
Whether you’re heading for the festivals, packing for a weekend away, having lunch in the city or simply enjoying festival season remember to keep it smart and simple this season while still looking chic.

Spring may be here but some days it still feels a little too chilly for open toes and sandals, which is why I’m still kicking around the city in booties.
What better way to wear a high heeled bootie than with a great pair of leggings. Yes, I know what your thinking, leggings again, well the truth is I’m obsessed with the comfort, convenience and luxury look they bring everytime I style them.
Spring is a great time of year to bring out the colour, be a bit more playful and kick back after a long winter, but sometimes you just gotta go with black. I for one am a strong believer in simplicity and as much as I love bright colours and sparkles, I have always been more of a neutral kinda girl. You can never go wrong with black, especially for work, it’s easy to style and can be worn day through night. I often find myself meeting up with friends, heading to events or grabbing a bite to eat after work, so wearing something comfortable and transitional is definetly top of my list!

I must say, as cold and tedious winter can be I do love outerwear fashion, from jackets and boots to hats and gloves, I absolutely love accessorizing and having winter pieces that you love will definitely get you more excited to bundle up and go out, even just for a little while.
When winter calls, greet it with fur. A touch of fur is always a fashionable way to keep warm, with this up and down weather we’ve been having this season having removable fur such as a hood, is a more transitional way to wear your coat all season long.
When it comes to picking out a winter coat don’t just rush it, pick out something you absolutely love because chances are you might be wearing it for a while. This RUDSAK parka is not only fashionable with the leather detailing and fur hood, it is also down filled which is perfect for our Canadian winters.
Always remember your accessories, they are staple pieces that you simply can’t forget. Search out a warm and functional pair of touch screen leather gloves that not only look great, they work great too and I promise you won’t be able to take them off all season long. We have been pretty fortunate this winter when it comes to snow falls (fingers crossed it stays that way) allowing us to have a little fun with our footwear without having to lug around chunky and heavy boots. On more mild days opt for a more fashionable boot and save your water proofs for when and if the snow really starts to fall. I love black, it’s classic and transitional, but for a pop of colour try adding a knit scarf or hat to keep you looking fun and fabulous.
